CENERGY joined the industrial research project co-funded by POR FESR 2007-2013 (Regional Growth Fund) in developing a new concept for an environmentally-friendly liquefied natural gas (LNG) ship, with an improved capacity to reduce carbon footprint.

The project leader was Wärtsilä Italia, one of the leading companies in ship propulsion, and the other partners were the University of Trieste and Udine, AREA Science Park, RINA Services, Navalprogetti, and Energy Automation.
